Contrail Machinery, a manufacturer of railway welding equipment, and Hiarom, a specialist in technical solutions for railway infrastructure, are participating between the 26th and 27th of March 2025, at Oradea, in the Infrastructure Conference, an event organized by Club Feroviar. The two companies will showcase a Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machine (Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machine), developed by Contrail, a modern solution for railroad maintenance and construction.
Flash Butt Welding (Flash Butt Welding) is a widely used and highly effective method for joining railroad rails. This process involves the use of electric resistance heating of the rail ends, combined with mechanical pressing to create a strong and durable weld.
This welding technology eliminates mechanical joints, thus reducing noise, component wear, and the need for maintenance, ensuring smoother running and increased durability of the railroad.
Throughout the event, visitors will be able to attend live demonstrations and explore the benefits of this technology in modernizing and maintaining railway infrastructure. The live presentation of the mobile rail welding machine will take place at the Oradea Depot Local Transport.
By participating in Rail Days, Contrail and Hiarom reaffirm their commitment to support innovation and performance in the rail sector, offering solutions tailored to industry requirements and customer needs.
