Messe Berlin, 22–25 September 2026 – Outdoor stand O/385

Contrail Machinery returns to InnoTrans, the world’s leading trade fair for transport technology. This year you will find us in the outdoor area, at stand O/385, where equipment can be seen at full scale, the way it actually looks on site.

What we are exhibiting

CR-100 mobile flash butt welding machine

The centrepiece of our stand is the CR-100 mobile flash butt welding machine, the equipment at the core of what Contrail does: welding rails directly in track, with full upsetting force and complete control over every process parameter.

The CR-100 performs the entire welding cycle, preheating, flashing, upsetting and shearing, with automatic recording of the parameters for each weld. The result is a repeatable, traceable joint that meets the requirements of EN 14587-2 and AREMA, produced without consumables and without the auxiliary operations that other welding technologies depend on.

For maintenance and construction teams, the practical benefit is straightforward: shorter interventions inside the possession window, fewer supporting operations, and weld quality that does not depend on operator skill.

CR-120 welding head, a prototype making its industry debut

At InnoTrans 2026 we are presenting, for the first time anywhere, the prototype of the CR120 welding head, the newest development in the Contrail portfolio.

The CR120 extends our range towards applications with higher force and wider opening requirements, while retaining the modular architecture that allows integration onto different carrier platforms.

Bringing it to Berlin at the prototype stage is a deliberate choice. We want rail professionals, infrastructure managers, contractors, and integrators to see it, ask hard questions, and tell us what it should do better before it goes into series production. The feedback we collect in Berlin will directly shape the final configuration of the product.

Why stop by O/385

  • Technical conversations, not sales pitches. The engineers who design and commission this equipment will be on the stand.
  • Full-scale machines in the outdoor area, where dimensions, access and serviceability can be assessed properly.
  • Experience across more than 20 countries. Contrail equipment is at work today on mainline, metro and industrial networks across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
  • The complete portfolio. Alongside the welding machines, we are happy to discuss the RBT326 rail bending press and our low-profile clamps.

Together with HIAROM

At InnoTrans 2026 we are pleased to be present alongside HIAROM, our partner in the Romanian rail market. The collaboration brings together welding equipment manufacturing on one side and distribution, service and technical support for railway machinery on the other, which, for the end customer, means equipment that is delivered and kept running by people who know it in detail.

See you in Berlin!
